CNY Gathering in SG Day 3 🎆

Roti Prata~ Roti Prata~ Many people enjoy Roti Prata for breakfast. So, I purposely brought my parents to eat Roti Prata. At first, I told them we were going to eat Roti for breakfast. My dad said, “JB also has it what, and it’s more expensive here than in JB, why eat this?” I replied, “Aiya, you must try it in Singapore so that you can compare.”

So, I brought them to Al Fattah Restaurant at Junction Nine. My dad then said, “Aiyo, why do we need to walk so far, we can eat near the pasar, it’s nearer.” I said, “No, no, no.” After we settled down, my dad started to show off his Tamil and spoke Tamil to the staff there, which seemed to make them happy lah haha.

My dad ordered one Roti Kosong and one Roti Telur, my mum ordered Tosai Masala, and I ordered 2 Roti Kosong (I shared with my mum). After my mum tasted the Tosai, she said it was nice, the sauce was thick, and there was quite a lot of potato. She seemed satisfied. After I gave her a piece of Roti Kosong, she said, “Wah, the Roti is so crispy and tender. The flour here is really different compared to JB, JB Roti is crispy but has no texture of flour.”

After finishing, my dad went to pay the bill and then we walked around Junction Nine just to digest the food. When we arrived home, I asked my mum, “Is the distance from home to Junction Nine too far for you all?” My dad replied, “Ya, it’s very far.” But my mum said, “No, I feel so happy when outing with you.” Hahaha

Next stop was Coba Coba for lunch.

We ordered Nasi Ambeng Classic for 2 pax for $29.

My husband ordered a la carte for $10+ (no receipt so no idea about the price).

We also ordered Tauhu Telur for $6.

The total cost was $54. I guess the cashier overcharged me a few dollars but without a receipt, I could do nothing. Overall, the food was pretty nice. I hope the curry chicken is thigh rather than wing. My parents really enjoyed the food, my mum kept eating without talking. If my mum eats quietly, it means the food is nice, she is enjoying it. 😋

After lunch, we took a bus and went back home because their carpool would arrive at 3pm. So, this is the end of the 3-day 2-night trip in Singapore. I hope they liked it and I guess they did. Finally, I need to thank my husband for the financial support and the itinerary that he planned. Thank you and love ya 😘
